History
Lawson
Displays, Ltd. was founded in 1972 by George and Betty Lawson
to design, manufacture and sell creative props for the jewelry
retail industry. Lawson grew into the largest jewelry display
company in Canada and a leader in North America.
In
2004, one of our customers, Holt Renfrew - Canada's leading
high fashion retailer - won recognition as Store of the
Year by the National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers.
We are proud that it was Lawson who provided the jewelry
displays prominently featured in the award presentation.
In
1979, a sister company, Creative Acrylics, Ltd. was added
to focus on creating acrylic displays with attention to
detail and finish suitable to the jewelry market and discriminating
retailers in the general market.
Today,
the company has a wide range of display products with high
level design and manufacturing skills in fabrics, wood,
acrylics and vacuum formed shapes.
In
2002, the operation became part of Lawson Group Inc.
who have taken the business forward with its established
skills and quality standards while adding new technologies
and services to provide our customers with unprecedented
support and value.
Since
2002, Lawson has been successful in leveraging its talents
to provide high quality display products to other industries
such as auto sales, coffee and grocery retailers, tobacco
sales and supply manufacturing services to other industries
that require our special capabilities.
Services
Customer
Service is such an important part of our business strategy
that we have devoted a separate web page to it. Please visit
our Services page.
Manufacturing
Our
plant is a modern, 22,000 sq. ft. facility, specifically
designed, built from the ground up and equipped for the
manufacturing of our display product lines. This includes
attention to details such as separate, isolated areas and
vacuum filtration systems to keep the fine dust from processing
acrylics and wood materials from showing up in finished
product welds and joins.
Lawson Group Inc.
Lawson Group Inc. has rich backgrounds in manufacturing,
marketing innovation and technology utilization. The company
purchased the operations of Lawson Displays, Limited and
Creative Acrylics Limited in 2002 and continue operations
as Lawson Displays & Design.
